CHURCH PROJECTS
NEW PARISH CENTRE AT AUCKLEY
The opening of the new Parish Centre at Auckley was the culmination of years of hard work. It is a wonderful building which blends beautifully with the old fabric of the Church. A true blend of traditional and modern architecture which has worked wonderfully well.
Although built on Church land, it is not a Church building, but is managed by a group of trustees, some of who are members of the church.
FINNINGLEY PARISH CHURCH ORGAN -
Finningley Parish Church organ is a Brindley & Foster instrument installed in the early 19th century and overhauled in the 1980s. It is a powerful instrument with a pneumatic action and a complicated spring arrangement in the wind chests.
The Parish Church pipe organ was badly in need of renovation and restoration to a fully functioning state, at a total cost of more than £56,000. Once again, thanks to a great deal of hard work has been completed.
Adopt – A –Pipe!
The organ has lots of pipes of different shapes, sizes, sounds and tones, from the
deep, rich bass sound through the gentle flute to the triumphant fanfare. For a donation
of only £10 -
