Annual Churchyard Cut

We will be giving the churchyard its annual “cut” during the week commencing Tuesday 29th August with the communal working day on Saturday 2nd September from 10am. Please put the date in your diary and come along, burn off a few calories and have some fun as you help to prepare our churchyard for its winter rest. All help welcome including coffee (or lunch?) makers and prayers for good weather for that week. If you can help in the days before the Saturday working day please let Tricia know.

Quiet Day

On Saturday 4th November from 10pm to 3pm we will be running a quiet day at Holy Trinity and St Oswald’s Church. We are very lucky that Tony Horsfall a well known preacher, writer on Faith issues and quiet day leader, is coming to run this for us. Unsure about whether to come? Well a Quiet Day is just that! Quiet Days provide time and space to be with the Lord, to be open to him, to listen to him and respond to what he is saying. Quiet Days are refreshing, a way to concentrate on God and put our busy lives to one side. Refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch. Donations on the day would be welcome. If you want more details or put your name down please speak to Margaret Liddle or anyone who came to our day in April which was most successful.
